There are some stories that, while also kind of funny, defy that witty lead because of how revolting they are. The arrest of Florida resident Michael Shannon over the weekend is exactly that.
According to police, Shannon, 57, entered Soapy’s Coin Laundromat in St. Petersburg Saturday morning and defecated on the floor.

Witnesses told police he then picked up his own feces and began “pressing it into the soap loading compartment” of one of the laundromat’s washing machines.
When police arrived, Shannon was reportedly still on the premises and the “crime scene” was still intact. Shannon confessed to the crime and was immediately arrested and charged with criminal mischief.
Shannon’s escapades did an estimated $475 worth of damage to the washing machine.
