The McDonald’s All-American game is typically a way for soon-to-be college athletes to show their stuff on the high school stage one final time, while also displaying their talents to a national audience. This year, the event was held in Chicago’s United Center, the house that Michael Jordan built. Unfortunately, this year’s game was overshadowed by a massive brawl that erupted in the concourse. Somehow, nobody was arrested, and more importantly, nobody was hurt.

According to the Chicago Tribune, the organizers of the event issued an apology stating: “Naturally, we are disappointed by this kind of activity, which runs counter to the spirit of the McDonald’s All American Games.”
It was reported that order was restored by United Center security and Chicago police officers. But the police News Affairs Office said it was not aware of any fight at the United Center.
According to police spokesman Anthony Guglielmi, officers assigned to the center may have handled it on their own.
“It was most likely addressed by patrol officers at the venue if we didn’t get a 911 call on it,” said Guglielmi in an email.
Operators of the United Center were unable to be reached for comment.
