Talk about heartstopping stuff.
In one of the most intense on-the-water moments we’ve seen, Team USA sailor Graeme Spence flew off the front of his team’s boat and was somehow able to survive.
The boats can reach speeds of about 50 mph, with razor sharp hydrofoils that slice through the water and two hulls of the catamaran that could have easily torn Spence to pieces.
In what has to be the two longest seconds in the history of time, Spence can be seen falling into the water and then reemerging at the back of the watercraft.
We can only imagine how frightening this would’ve been, but fortunately for Spence, he escaped from the ordeal unharmed. Visibly shook up, but unharmed, nonetheless.
