Yeah, I don’t know, either. I can’t keep up with the fetish culture of the Japanese. I mean, in terms of fetishization and granting access to very specific fetishes, they’re lightyears ahead of us. Where else are you going to find vending machines dispensing used panties?
But this particular fetish? The camel toe. (Look, if you’ve made it this far without a description, let’s just not and say we did, okay?)
Per Maxim (which has a very defined opinion regarding the matter):
Apparently, having a camel toe is all the rage in Japan, and women are wearing special silicone underwear to accentuate their lady parts and make it look extra pudgy and plump… Someone in Japan actually came up with camel toe panties a decade ago, and called it “Party Pants.” And the purpose of these Party Pants? To “lift and separate.”
There seems to be a lot of kicking and screaming in the Maxim piece. While it ends on a decidedly “whatever, do you” note, there’s a lot of negative feedback given to the idea of women purposely giving themselves camel toes. I, for one, am more amazed someone actually dreamt this idea up ten years ago. And, look, we’ve all got our kinks and fetishes; let those who love the camel toe have theirs. I’m sure it’s one of the tamer ones around, anyway.
