Growing up as a child, one of the coolest things I ever remember doing at school was building and launching my own model rocket, because it was as close as I will ever come to launching something towards space. And as far away from space travel as it really was, that didn’t stop me from dreaming that somehow, some day, I would maybe get a chance to be on an actual real rocket ship. But, then, you know, life happened.

I know I wasn’t the only ones we that dream though. That’s why this video of a see-through version of the same Estes engine we all used on our rockets is so badass. The people over at the YouTube channel Warped Perception were able to capture how the engine works by cutting it in half and giving us and up-close-and-personal view.
How awesome is that?!
