We recently learned through an article published in a scientific journal that an attraction to older women comes with its own sexual orientation. Here’s a similarly odd sexual theory: guys that would rather cozy up with their favorite pornography than an actual live human being also make up their own sexual orientation.

According to Medical Daily, choosing porn over real sex is like using a drug that will ultimately desensitize that person’s desire to be intimate or form a deep connection with another person. Sex therapist Christene Lozano suggests that the convenience of internet porn has contributed greatly to this new sexual orientation called pornosexuality.

“The convenience of getting off online without the potential work, vulnerability, intimacy, and connection with others can be appealing to some,” she says.

Lozano adds that pornosexuality is separate from all other sexual orientations because it’s a learned behavior with no human contact or bonding, and the more frequent a person’s porn habit becomes, the more likely they are to become pornosexual.

Marriage therapist Amanda Pasciucco echoes Lozano’s concerns that the absence of anxiety and fear of rejection is a big draw for pornsexuals.

“…Anxiety and fear of rejection has led to people identifying as pornosexuals,” she said. “They do not have to put themselves in the uncomfortable situation of building their confidence to go out and ask others to connect intimately with them. It makes them more self-conscious, anxious, fearful, and rejected.”

There’s some merit to your girl’s resentment of your porn viewing habits after all. It might be a good idea to delete this web page from your browsing history immediately.
