Not to be a serious downer, but if your significant other keeps suggesting to go visit with the neighbors, it may be more than just to keep up friendly appearances.

According to the Daily Star, a survey conducted by extra-marital dating site Gleeden, found that those in a relationship looking to stray don’t look too far. Of the more than 8,000 members surveyed, 62 percent of women admitted to fantasizing about cheating with a neighbor, with their male counterparts coming in at 71 percent.
While these numbers are based on fantasies, it’s not too far fetched. Of the women surveyed, 31 percent said they’ve had an affair with a person next door.
“Human beings are aroused by novelty and newness,” Wendy Walsh, Ph.D., an adjunct professor of psychology at Cal State said. “It’s part of our anthropological mission to spread our seed. Sexual fantasies let her create that newness in her head—rather than in her bed.”
For all of you folks out there that have suspicions of your significant other, you should keep an eye on them if they’re a little too chummy with the neighbor.
