It’s one thing to watch a hawk or an eagle swoop down some small, unsuspecting prey. But watching an eagle snatch up a fox from the eagle’s point of view is absolutely insane. Thanks to the amazing capabilities of the GoPro Hero cameras, we were able to see exactly that.
The folks over at GoPro have released a series of videos titled, “Eagle Hunters In A New World.” It follows the lives of the Burkitshi (eagle hunters) in Mongolia, who actually use eagles to hunt their food.
At one time, the number of Burkitshi was in the thousands, but now there are only a few dozen. It’s pretty impressive to see what these birds are capable of and how important they are to these people.
