Academy Award winner Charlize Theron played a femme fatale in the 2005 film Aeon Flux, and she’s set to do a bit of a reprise in the upcoming summer action flick Atomic Blonde.
From John Wick director David Lietch, who’s also slated to direct Deadpool 2, Atomic Blonde stars Theron as Lorraine Broughton, a lethal assassin on a mission to Cold War-era Berlin, which according to the film’s official synopsis is “a ticking time bomb of a city simmering with revolution and double-crossing hives of traitors.”
Based on the 2012 novel The Coldest City, Theron’s character in the movie is billed as “equal parts spycraft, sensuality and savagery and willing to deploy any of her skills to stay alive on her impossible mission to Berlin to deliver a priceless dossier.” In other words, she’s a sexy killing machine of a spy.
