Deep throating hot dogs, which is what one young lady was about to send into millions of living rooms during ESPN’s telecast of the Cubs-Cardinals game Sunday, is something that a decent amount of guy baseball fans would probably like to see. But not on this cameraman’s watch.
Thanks to quick thinking and some deft camera work, ESPN was able to avert disaster and cut away milliseconds before the money shot. Lesser cameramen (or greater, depending on what your perspective is) would’ve stuck with the shot to see what could’ve gone down, but the cameraman was all about keeping things family friendly.

This is exactly why they shouldn’t call games from the bleachers. Alcohol and television cameras can make for a particularly family unfriendly combination.
