Predators fans have been pretty charged up about their team just making it to the Stanley Cup Finals for the first time in team history.

But after last night’s 4-1 victory over the Pittsburgh Penguins evened the series at 2-2, fans outside of Bridgestone Arena in Nashville broke into one huge lovefest, and no one exhibited that excitement more than a couple who made out in front of television cameras for an entire two-and-half minute live segment on the local news.

Reporter Chris Harris of WSMV-TV seemed a little slow on the uptake and didn’t acknowledge the amorous couple until the end of his spot, but then right on cue, he threw in maybe the wittiest line of his career.

“People are fired up! Do you see what’s happening here? We might have conception going on! This is how it is in Smashville,” Harris joked.

The Smashville Predators. That’s good stuff. Something tells us #smashville is soon to be trending on Twitter.
