Bare-handed fishing is so much more sensible up in Canada.
In the states there’s noodling, where renegade fisherman, primarily in the south, stick their hands in mudholes in the hopes of pulling out monster catfish. Never mind that the water’s so murky you can’t see a thing and getting your hand back with all five fingers still attached is a roll of the dice.

The guy in the video below shows us how simple the concept is up north at Trout Lake near Ontario. He uses fish carcass leftovers to lure in a 23-inch walleye that’s just off the dock within arm’s reach. No struggling, no mud, and more importantly, no risking your extremities.
