For us, the grill or a pan will do just fine for steak, but for the dudes at Good Mythical Morning, household appliances like irons, toasters and dishwashers should also have a say.
In all honesty, the way they “correctly” cook the flatiron steak doesn’t look so bad. They even filled the clothes-prepping appliances with marinade to easily spray the steak during the process.

Two irons, two sides of marinated meat, half the cook time.
Hmm, decent.
Toaster
Ding! That’s the sound of your steak popping up a little underdone.
Dishwasher
Yeah, um, no thanks.
