Everyone knows that Bruce Lee was a legend in martial arts, but this had been an aspect of his life basically only documented in the many movies he starred in. Until now.

In extremely rare footage that was just recently released, Lee can be seen fighting one of his top students, Ted Wong. The two were wearing protective gear due to the state laws at the time. The video, which has racked up nearly 7 million views, shows Lee keeping Wong at bay, only to sneak in with strikes at opportune moments.

According to the Daily Mirror, Wong was a martial arts practitioner who was best known for studying under Lee. He was born in Hong Kong in 1937 and died in 2010 aged 73.

Lee, on the other hand, was born Lee Jun-fan in San Francisco and only lived to be 32 years old. But in his short time on, Earth his work went on to impact the world of martial arts well beyond his death. And as you can see from this other remastered footage, he truly was the real deal.
