Edgar Wright’s highly-anticipated new film Baby Driver already looks like a surefire hit, and it won’t even hit theaters until the end of the summer.
Wright, an English director known for the cult classic Shaun of the Dead and his last film 2013’s The World’s End, has put together a cast that can’t miss on this latest effort. There’s Kevin Spacey, Jamie Foxx, John Hamm, Ansel Elgort, Lily James and Flea of the Red Hot Chili Peppers. The movie premiered at the South by Southwest festival in Austin, Texas last night and garnered rave reviews.

Long story, short, Baby falls in love and tries to escape a life of crime only to be dragged back into the game for one last job. Sound familiar? The film may be rife with cliches, but one thing’s certain: Wright’s affinity for stylized violence a la Quentin Tarantino in concert with his peculiar brand of storytelling is likely to set this heist flick apart from anything we’ve ever seen.
