A 7th grade science teacher in Arizona, police say, has admitted to showing a student half her age her genitals and touching herself on a video chat, while on an in-person occasion also allowing the minor to kiss and touch her breasts.
Kara Loofborough, 26, was arrested Thursday after the 13-year-old boy’s father reported concerns about communication his son was having with the teacher.

According to KPHO, police are saying that the 13-year-old admitted that Loofborough exposed her genitals during a video call in March. Authorities hauled Loofborough in for questioning last Thursday and say that she admitted this took place.
They say Loofborough admitted to showing the 13-year-old her genitals and that she was aware of his age. Police also say she admitted to touching herself and allowing to kiss and touch her breasts.
Authorities additionally allege that she showed the boy a video of her performing oral sex on another male.

KPNX put it this way:
The boy said Loofborough showed him her breasts and her vagina while they talked over video chat in March, according to police.
Police said during the same month Loofborough — while at school — showed the student a video of her performing oral sex on another male.
Loofborough also sent the boy a link to a pornographic website, police said.

The woman taught at Fees College Preparatory Middle School, AZ Central reported.
In KNXV’s TV report about the incident, which you can see above, they showed a letter sent from the school to parents Friday that announced Loofborough had taught at the school since August of last year and had resigned as of March 30, this after a two week absence.
At the time she was hired, she had no criminal history reported based on the District’s fingerprint and record check with the Arizona Department of Public Safety and her background check by the District revealed no adverse findings.

This situation is extremely disturbing for everyone, but we must continue to be focused on teaching and learning for our students and to allow Tempe Police Department to conduct a thorough investigation.
