A trio of Playboy models was arrested and detained by immigration officials for working an event in Mexico without the proper visas.
According to the NY Daily News, Playmates Elif Celik, of Turkey, Marie Brethenoux, of France, and American Lauryn Elaine were all arrested around midnight Friday as they sat at their VIP tables at the Playboy Music Fest in Merida.
“They rounded us up into a large room and weeded us all out by checking everyone’s IDs,” Elaine, the American playmate, told Fox News.
All three women were then arrested and detained for hours for what Playboy Mexico called an “abuse of authority.” They were released the following day.
Two of the Playmates took to Instagram in the days afterward.
“Even after detention in Merida nothing can stop us!” Brethenoux wrote.
In her Instagram post, Elaine vented a little more frustration.
“Happy to be out!!!” she said. “Being in Mexican Immigration detainment was AWFUL!! They were so mean!”
