In what only can be described as a nasty strike against his record, a man from Misoula, Montana has been charged with a felony for allegedly beating his neighbor with a bowling pin.

Michael Joseph Schumacher, 51, has been charged with assault with a weapon and is being held on $20,000 bail.

According to the Billings Gazette, a report states that police were called to a motel on complaints of a fight. Once officers arrived, they learned that one of the men involved told police he got into a fight with another man. He said he punched Schumacher in self-defense after being attacked with a bowling pin.

According to the man, him and Schumacher both live at the motel. He also said Schumacher has threatened to shoot him in the past.

Two witnesses stated they saw Schumacher attack the man, then saw him come back for the second fight, swinging the bowling pin. They also attested that Schumacher threatened to shoot the man.

Schumacher allegedly repeatedly threatened to shoot the man as he was being taken to jail.
