Well, we all know how the Super Bowl turned out.
SweetWater was a good sport, though, and followed through on the bet, but didn’t hesitate to infuse this brew with something more than a dash of bitterness and good old fashioned trolling.

Here’s what SweetWater came up with:
it’s the bet that keeps coming back to bite us in the ass @SamuelAdamsBeer. We have 100 of these god awful cans at tours for souvenir beer pic.twitter.com/hWNkJtBihQ

“It’s the bet that keeps coming back to bite us in the ass @SamuelAdamsBeer. We have 100 of these god awful cans at tours for souvenir beer,” they tweeted.
The packaging here is great. Around the crown of the can the words “Don’t float the mainstream!” are displayed.
“A soul crushing pale ale that will leave you feeling deflated” — good one! “No G.O.A.T. harmed in the creation of this beer (but we gave it our best shot!) #rogerthat.”
Well played, guys. Well played.
