More than two years ago, Cuban Ana de Armas moved to Los Angeles and could barely even speak English. In an interview with GQ back in July, the now 28-year-old de Armas, who had studied acting since she was 14, recalled simply nodding during interviews with L.A. agents without having any idea what they were saying.
Since then, de Armas has mastered the language and has starred in such films as Knock, Knock and War Dogs and in upcoming films such as Overdrive and the Blade Runner reboot.
It’s safe to say that de Armas is making her way as a pretty legit actress in Hollywood. Oh, and it also doesn’t hurt that she’s drop-dead gorgeous.
