You know what they say: when life give you lemons, make lemonade. Well, life gave Texas native Matthew McNellis McDonald’s Chicken McNuggets, and he turned those suckers into bait which helped him lure in and nab a state record-breaking largemouth bass.

The 24.5-inch bass weighed in at 10.802 pounds, beating the previous record-breaking bass of 10.44 pounds set back in 2006.

Maybe if that bass could’ve cut that nasty fast food habit, he’d still be swimming with his buddies instead of being this weekend’s fish dinner.
